Uzbekistan – Livestock Data for 2008

Uzbekistan's State Statistics Committee reports that there were 8.02 million head of cattle in Uzbekistan as of the start of this year, an increase of 566,700 as compared with the number at the start of 2008, according to UzReport.
The number of cattle increased in all areas of the country. Livestock production as a proportion of total agricultural production in Uzbekistan increased from 44.9 per cent in 2007 to 46.5 per cent in 2008.
