Dow increase acrylates price
The Dow Chemical Company announced recently that it will increase the off schedule price for glacial acrylic acid, butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, methyl acrylate and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, also known as acrylic monomers or acrylates, effective from April 1st, or as contracts allow.
This increase is in addition to the March 1st North American increase of five cents per pound on the same products mentioned above.
‘Raw material prices are once again on the rise, despite the impact of the global economic downturn,' said Mark Bassett, global business director, acrylates. ‘We must implement these increases to restore our margins and maintain continuity of supply.'
