Dow up ether prices in Europe
Published: 24 March, 2009
Dow Europe GmbH this week announced that it will raise prices in Europe effective April 1, 2009, or as contracts allow, for products in the glycol ethers portfolio by €50 ($63) to €70 ($89) per metric ton dependent upon grade. This increase is required to address margin compression.
‘The rapid decline in price has left margins at unsustainable levels,' says Martin Sutcliffe, global business director, glycol ethers. ‘We must improve our margins, so we can afford to compete for raw materials and make the products our customers need.'
