Trumpler host seminar for BSLT students

In conjunction with BSLT University of Northampton, Paul Evans of German leather chemical producer, Trumpler recently organised a four day practical seminar for MSc & BSc students.

David Burgess and Kevin Banning presented several lectures on a wide range of leather making topics. In addition, practical work was undertaken from rawhide to wet-blue, modern high performance water resistant leather and clothing sheepskins. Commenting on the seminar David Burgess said that it gave him great pleasure to see that the school was still flourishing with students coming from across the globe to learn not only the technology and science of leather manufacture but also the practical aspects.
