Romanian production

Romania's National Statistics Institute reports that the production of leather and leather products in Romania in the first two months of this year was 23.2% lower than in the same period in 2008.
In comparison, industrial output in Romania in the first two months of this year was 15.4% lower year-on-year.
The Institute also reported that 52,000 head of cattle were slaughtered in Romania in February, compared with 61,000 in January and 67,000 in February 2008.
