L&HTBI hold dinner and AGM
The Leather & Hide Trades' Benevolent Institution (LHTBI) recently held its annual lunch following the Annual General Meeting at the Leathersellers' Hall in London on May 21.
The chairman and members of the committee were honoured the outgoing president, Paul Patrick, and thanking him for all his efforts on the president's appeal for 2008-09 which, to date, has raised over £8,000 ($11,800) - an excellent achievement in these difficult financial times.
Special mention was made of the achievements of the chairman, William Tusting, who had recently completed a sponsored cycle all around Ireland, raising approximately £5,000 ($7,400) towards the funds for 2009.
The LHTBI is also delighted to be welcoming their first lady president for 2009/10, Jill Williams, finance director, Pittards, who has been a member of the committee since May 2005.
Members of the committee expressed their delighted with the success of the event and gave grateful thanks to the Leathersellers' Company for their hospitality.
