Production: Production capacity is 22,000 hides per day of 65% of which is supplied by their own slaughterhouses. Bertin produce wet-blue hides and splits, crust and finished leathers mainly for the upholstery, footwear, small leather goods and automotive industries.
Tannery employees: Bertin has more than 28,000 employees, out of which about 5,000 are in the leather division.

For 15 years he worked for Sadesa Brasil and for the past 9 years he has been responsible for the leather division of the Bertin Group. Bertin is focused in providing solutions in the whole protein chain and integrate vertically the bovine value chain, going from the animal to the finished and cut sets for the automotive industry. This includes fresh & processed beef, dairy products, biodiesel, soap-base ingredients and other hygiene & cleaning products, as well as pet products. Swirski believe's that Bertin are probably the most vertically integrated company in the world in this industry sector.

It owns 35 industrial units in Brazil and plants in Uruguay, Paraguay and China, 10 of them dedicated to the hides and leather business.
