Valencia, Spain’s third largest city, will host the next IULTCS congress September 28-30, 2011. Dr Vicente Segarra of Inescop’s leather department based in the city has been elected as the chairman of the organising committee. Daniel Sánchez the former chairman has stepped down from the role after a recent relocation to China as technical director of Meihua Leather.

Abstracts for the next congress are to be submitted by November 10, 2010 with the final acceptance of papers to take place by March, 1, 2011. Final presentations should be with the scientific committee by May 1, 2011.
Dr Lluisa Cabeza a member of the organising committee for Valencia will also chair the scientific committee, which will be made up of scientists and leather industrialists from around the world. The Aqeic conference, the Spanish scientific conference for the tanning sector, will also take place during the same dates.
