Julian Osgood has been appointed sales director of leather chemical supplier, Abstract Polymeric, based in the UK. He has joined Darren Strafford who has been manufacturing leather chemicals since 2001. With Osgood’s appointment Strafford will concentrate on his area of expertise in production and R&D.

Abstract Polymeric includes a team of five ex-Earnshaw employees and a network of ex-Earnshaw/ Clariant people who have helped with particular specialist areas in the building up of the company. ‘We are now at a very exciting stage where I am able to concentrate full time on developing sales in leather and non leather industries (wood industry) around the world’, says Osgood. ‘Couple this with our low overheads and the weak pound (sterling), we should be able to offer a range of products at around 30% cheaper than the competition.’
