Satra have expanded their range of environmental services after announcing that Mark Buckley has been appointed to the newly created role of health, safety and environmental manager at the company's Northamptonshire base.

Buckley is a member of the Institute of Environmental Managers and Auditors (IEMA) and has a wealth of industrial experience working with companies for them to comply with relevant legislation, use energy efficiently and control environmental impacts more effectively.
Greater awareness of environmental issues among legislators, financiers, customers, employees and shareholders has led traditional industries to review their overall environmental performance. Buckley will be available to assist Satra members in reducing their carbon footprint, energy use and CO2 emissions by implementing health and safety system ISO 18001 and environmental management system ISO 14001.
‘As well as helping its members to reduce the environmental impacts of their operations, Satra is also working hard to reduce its own carbon footprint’, said Buckley. The role will include the development and monitoring of health and safety policies and systems at Satra as well as managing health and safety compliance on site.
