Leather not included in DyStar deal
According to the official administrator they have confirmed that DyStar's leather chemical buisness unit and the Geretsried production site in Germany are not included in the recent deal with Indian manufacturer and supplier Kiri Dyes & Chemicals Ltd (KDCL) which was announced on December 10.
'The new investor (KDCL) is not interested in taking on the leather chemicals unit, we are still looking for another opportunity for Geretsried. But we cannot provide any further details at the moment', Gabriele Wunnenberg, representing the official insolvency administrators has told Leather International.
It appears that the administrators are now in talks with or are looking for a potential buyer for the leather chemicals unit and Geretsried site.
