Strong German presence at IILF

The German Leather Federation (Verband der Deutschen Lederindustrie) along with the VDMA, hosted a group of eighteen companies at the India International Leather Fair (IILF) this year. The IILF takes place in Chennai, India January 31 - February 3 and is seen as one of the fastest growing markets for the leather and leather products indusries.
The German pavilion includes tanneries, chemical and machinery makers for the leather, leathergoods and footwear industries as well as some footwear component producers.
Among the German exhibitors two German tanners are included, Richard Hoffmans and Josef Heinen who are highlighting their collection of bovine nappa and nubuck for the shoe and leathergoods sectors.
The German presentation is sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Economics together with the association of the German Trade Fair Industry AUMA. The German pavilon is one of the largest at the IILF show this year which features around 435 exhibitors.
