SRL and GST Autoleather host supplier day

Shanghai Richina Leather (SRL) and joint venture partner GST Autoleather held a supplier conference at their Shanghai facilities on June 7. 120 invited executives comprised of suppliers, technical advisors and other service providers at the event. The program included a business review and strategic update, tours of the facility and an afternoon and evening visit to Shanghai’s Expo.
Presenters included Richard Yan, ceo of Richina Inc, Dennis Hiller, ceo of GST Autoleather, and Bob Moore, Shanghai Richina’s ceo. In addition, Huang Zhi Feng, the honorable vice mayor of Fuxin made a presentation on Fuxin’s new leather park and infrastructure. SRL is constructing new wet-blue facility in Fuxin. SRL presenters also included Ernst Hagan, Hellen Xia, Felix Lu and Lucy Dou.
Special recognition was given to guests president Robert Tsai and executive Emily Shen of Genfort, and to Su Chaoying, secretary general of the China Leather Industry Association.

The guests viewed a special exhibit of new autos displayed on the factory floor including the new Citroen C5, Toyota’s new Camry Hybrid and RAV 4, all featuring GST leather interiors.
The day’s events were capped off with a VIP tour of Shanghai’s World Expo. Richina, Inc are a lead sponsor of the New Zealand pavilion and hosted a cocktail buffet dinner there. Secretary general and ambassador Phillip Gibson welcomed the guests, and gave a private tour of the spectacular NZ exhibition.
Attendees included Tyson Foods, JBS Swift, NBP, Twin City Tanning, Rich International, CML, BASF, Stahl, Clariant, Lanxess, TFL, Trumpler, Dystar, Union Chemical, Novozymes, Adina, Zenith, Tannin, Buckman, Olcina, Bergi, Bauce, Rizzi and Xinji Julong Machinery. In addition, technical advisors BLC, W20, BVQI, and SGS were in attendance.
