Morin elected UITIC president

The International Union of Shoe Industry Technicians (UITIC) have elected Yves Morin as their new President at the 17th International Congress held in Léon, Mexico on October 8-9. Morin succeeds César Orgiles the former president since 1991 and currently General Manager of the Spanish Footwear Institute Inescop.
Yves Morin is Chief Executive Officer of CTC (France), the worldwide leader in quality assurance, consultancy and training for footwear, leather goods and glove industries.
At the time of his election he declared: ‘the UITIC was founded in France in 1972, and since that date the association has expanded and has currently members in more than 30 countries in the four continents. During my term, I will strengthen the UITIC’s missions, which consist in promoting knowledge and innovation in the shoe industry, further the exchanges between the members and organise an international congress every two years. The shoe industry has many assets and our association must contribute to their enhancement.’
