Xueke Tannery invests to make crust

Xueke Tannery located in Xinjian are investing 30 million yuan ($4.5 million) to expand the tannery process to produce crust. The investment includes new tanning machinery which will be imported. Initial trial production runs are set to begin in mid November, and over 100 million yuan ($15 million) of additional output value is expected when the crust operations begin.

According to www.chinaleather.org since the beginning of 2010 leather production at the Atasu-Alashankou Xueke Tannery has consistantly operated at full capacity. By the end of October the tannery expanded its the industrial turnover to 152 million yuan ($22.8 million) for 2010. The highest since the tannery was established.
