Scottish Leather Group win environment award

Scottish Leather Group Limited (SLG), won the ‘Best Environmental Performance’ Award at the 2010 ROCCO Awards, (Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards), held in Scotland on November 12.
Around 500 prominent business leaders gathered at the awards where SLG beat off stiff competition from drinks giant Diageo and office furniture supplier, Kinnarps to the award. Other notable shortlisted companies for other awards included Rolls Royce and Howden Group.
SLG comprises Bridge of Weir Leather Company Limited, Andrew Muirhead & Son Limited, NCT Leather Limited, W J & W Lang Limited, specialist suppliers to the interior and transportation seating industries worldwide and are the largest manufacturer of bovine leather in the UK, employing some 500 people, with a turnover of £70 million ($106 million).
