Leather park to be built in Guigang
The plan to build a leather park in Guigang city, Guangxi province was adopted at meeting that was held on November 26. Guigang Vice Party Secretary and Vice Mayor, Chen Dingyuan took part in the project evaluation meeting. Guigang is located in the southeastern Guangxi province, on the upper reaches of the Xijiang River, the Pearl River Basin.
The evaluation panel composed of seven experts from the industry and the information technology department in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangxi University, and Environmental Sciences Research Institute. They made an examination of the leather project from various viewpoints and finally approved the plan.
The vice Party Secretary Chen Dingyuan made a comment on the leather project and said the leather park will be one of the three key projects in the Guigang city that is parallel with the pottery and porcelain parks in Guiping and the feather and down park in Gangnan.
Approval for the project marked a big step forward for those behind the leather project. However, Dingyuan stressed that businesses setting up in the proposed leather park should put the environmental protection first on their plans and give priority to the production of leather products. He called on all the relevant departments to coordinate and give support to the project construction.
