Ring acquire Dose
Ring Group, the German engineering company famous for their leather perforation machinery have acquired the tannery equipment makers, Dose.
The acquisition was completed at the end of 2010 and Ring have taken over the whole company including the premises in Lichtenau. They will lease the building for now with an option to buy in the future. 22 jobs at Dose have been secured as a result of the takeover.
Ring Group, who are located in Pirmasens - 110km from Lichtenau, will continue to manufacture tannery machinery such as drums and automation equipment at the Dose site under the Dose brand name.
‘Dose are known in the leather industry as a maker of high quality products. We want to use our expertise and synergy across the whole of the Ring Group to reach customers that are in different segments but could buy from different companies within the group’, Matthias Ring, COO, Ring Group, told Leather International.
