Audi to headline at upholstery leather conference

A senior leather specifier of German car maker, Audi and a leading global supplier of hides for the upholstery sector from the US have confirmed that they will present at the upcoming ‘Upholstery Leather in Asia’ conference. Dr Bernhard Angermaier, Head of Material Development (Leather and Synthetics), Audi will be one of the key speakers. Robert Hein, Senior Vice-President/General Manager – Leather Division of National Beef Leathers will also address the audience.

The half-day conference will take place at the five-star Kerry Hotel in the Pudong district of Shanghai during the afternoon of Monday, September 5. The hotel (part of the Shangri-La Group) is conveniently located next to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), which will host the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) from September 6-8.

The conference is organised by Leather International magazine and is aimed upholstery tanners that have an interest in developing their business in Asia, particularly China. The event will have a strong focus on automotive upholstery leather as well as furniture, aviation and nautical leathers.
