OEM and auto lab to present at Shanghai upholstery conference

Senior automotive interior specialists from Shanghai General Motors (SAIC-GM) and the international automotive analytical test laboratory, Shimadze are the latest speakers to be announced to present at the forthcoming ‘Upholstery Leather in Asia’ conference. The half-day conference will take place on September 5, 2011 at the 5-star Kerry Hotel, Shanghai, which is located in the Pudong district next to the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC).

The two speakers include, Ye Wang, Design and R&D Dept, Shanghai General Motors Ltd (SAIC-GM), Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC). Her presentation will be entitled: ‘Interior development and leather trends in auto upholstery’.

Also presenting will be Gu Heng Li, Deputy General Manager, Shimadze Testing Institution. Her presentation will be entitled: ‘The prospect of auto upholstery leather testing.’ Shimadze are a major international testing institute for a number of industries including the automotive industry and include major OEM’s such as Toyota as their customers.

The keynote presentation will be given by Dr Bernhard Angermaier, Head of Material Development (Leather and Synthetics), Audi. Other previously announced speakers from BASF, GST-Autoleather and National Beef Packing Company will make up the full speaker line-up.
