Macedonian leather production

Macedonia's State Statistical Office has reported that the production of leather and leather products in Macedonia in the first eleven months of 2007 was 0.5% higher than in the same period in 2006. In comparison, manufacturing output in Macedonia in the January to November 2007 period was 5.6% higher year-on-year.

 

A substantial increase in the average gross monthly wage in the country's leather industry in the first ten months of 2007 was also reported. Wages increased by 23.3% year-on-year, compared with the annual increase in wages in Macedonia's manufacturing sector of 6.3%.
