Building begins on Haining Leather Market in Chengdu
The construction of the new leather market began on November 26 in the new commercial district of Xindu in Chengdu city, which is regarded as largest one in southwest of China.
Construction of the Haining Leather Market in Chengdu is expected to cost 1.36 billion yuan (US$ 212 million) to build and when completed it will be a large leather complex that comprises commercial stores, offices, apartments and an entertainment and business centre.
Chairman of the Haining Leather Market, Ren Youfa said that he believes the market will play a role in stimulating the development of the local economy and will attract many brands and companies in the industry to seek cooperation with the local industry.
