Two tanners awarded LWG bronze
Two tanners have been awarded Leather Working Group (LWG) bronze status in February. The LWG protocol aims to improve environmental stewardship and good practice in the tanning industry.
Brazilian footwear upper and leather goods tanner, CBC Couros e Acabamentos Ltda from Novo Hamburgo have achieved the bronze LWG tannery rating. Hung Sheng Tannery Co Ltd, located in Tainan Hsien, Taiwan have also been given the bronze LWG status.
The next LWG meeting will be held in Hong Kong on Friday March 30, 2012 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Room N101B. The meeting is for LWG members and invited guests only.
