Simontornya plant unsold

The Nepszabadsag daily reports that the former leather plant that employed 1,500 workers in the central Hungarian town of Simontornya remains unsold, according to the Interfax news agency.
Talks have been held with potential buyers but no sales agreement has been signed. The authorities in Simontornya hope to obtain EU funding the for the 7,000 sq m plant's rehabilitation.
