Shoemaker acquires quality certificate
The Dong Nai Biti's Co Ltd, Saigon, have become the first domestic producer to receive ISO 9001 certification. The company have so far earned an export turnover of US$980,000 this year, up 15% over the same period last year.
In an effort to increase the number of exports, the firm recently spent VND2 billion on a new Taiwanese production line, which can make the soles for sport shoes.

The company will soon open a trade office in California, US, according to the Vietnam News Agency, Hanoi. This will be the second overseas office, the first having been opened in China last year.
The company's board
of directors explained that the US is a potential market for Biti's footwear products which are now being exported to 40 countries around the world.
