Cargill Meat Solutions announce layoffs
Published: 16 November, 2007
Citing challenging livestock markets, rising commodity costs and disruptions in key export markets, Cargill Meat Solutions, USA, have announced that they will lay off 48 employees at corporate offices in Wichita, Kansas, and at production facilities nationwide.
‘We had tried to hold out, hoping that market conditions would improve, but they have continued to be negative’, said Bill Rupp, president of Cargill Meat Solutions. ‘We did not want to do this.’
