Stainless steel drum from Mercan
Mercan Makina, the Turkish tannery machinery makers, launched their new stainless drum at Tanning Tech.
The new drum may be used for any wet-end process and is available in three sizes, 250kg, 500kg and 2,000kg (based on hide/leather weight).
The model name is DCA 2100. It can be used to process small skins or sides. The drum has been sold to 15 tanneries in Türkiye.
The DCA 2100 has a stainless steel tank located at the side of the drum for adding the float and process chemicals. The tank includes a mixing system and Mercan say that it can easily be adapted into automated chemical and water dosing systems.
The drum is fitted with an electronic control panel where the process temperature, drum speed etc, can be automatically set and monitored.
The stainless drum is easy to clean and is fully guarded for operator safety.
