Loss of US market

In the past ten years, the share of South Korean made cars in the US market had risen from 1.2% to 5.8%, while ships have jumped from 0.5% to 2.7%. However, during the same period, South Korean exports of shoes to America, which were among the country's main export items in the sixties and seventies, have fallen from 6.4% to 2.7%.
