New leadership for SATRA footwear testing
SATRA have restructured their footwear testing team to promote an operating structure which satisfies the changing demands of members and other clients.
Lynne Brent heads up the new team. She rejoined SATRA last year having spent 24 years in the footwear industry - encompassing laboratory testing, production and quality management. Her role was then geared towards improving footwear testing and promoting SATRA's test capabilities.
Lynne has also joined the SATRA management team - a move that enables her to strategically develop SATRA's footwear activities in a sector that represents almost 70% of all the centre's test business.
'Lynne's great strength is that she offers considerable industry experience and her promotional expertise gives her an extra edge in creating even more awareness of our footwear testing services', says SATRA assistant director Peter Perkins.
Sue Winckle has become Lynne's deputy. She joined SATRA more than 30 years ago and has plenty of experience with leather, textiles and all footwear components and constructions. Sue now specialises in the physical testing of footwear uppers, luggage, upholstery and leathergoods.
