S&Z latest technology
Smit & Zoon will be displaying a brand new collection of products at Tanning Tech, featuring applications manufactured with the latest technology in fatliquors and syntans. The focus will be on FOC; waterproof systems; car upholstery; milling nappa leather; washable leather; and doubleface.
The company's ongoing investment in developing a waterproof system has proven to be a success and several items from this system will be on display.
During 2004, Smit & Zoon have strengthened their market position in lecithin-based fatliquors that give a specific touch to the leather. Several items on display will include these specialities.
Together with their agent in Türkiye, Smit & Zoon have developed a fatliquoring system for doubleface leathers which has become popular with many of the major producers in Türkiye. Smit & Zoon are dedicated to becoming major players in this field.
During Tanning Tech, Smit & Zoon will highlight their latest developments, including:
* Synthol WF 500 - a high-performance waterproof fatliquor that meets the toughest requirements.
* Synthol PD 990 - a synthetic product stable to electrolytes in the pickle stage. Suitable for doubleface.
* Sulphirol AF 300 - a low fogging, fish-oil free car upholstery fatliquor.
* Synthol SL 335 - a soft fatliquor with no bleaching or looseness, suitable for glazed kid, shoe and white leathers.
* Polyol HS 808 - a lightweight, full, multi-purpose lecithin fatliquor that provides a silky-to-waxy dye shade.
* Syntan SMA 678 - a maleic anhydride styrene co-polymer to optimise grain tightness. Also suitable as a waterproofing agent.
* Syntan RS 540 - an acrylic resin for soft and full leathers. Ideal for milled leathers.
