New appointments at BASF
On October 1, 2004, Thomas Sattler took over management of the BASF regional business unit Performance Chemicals for Leather Europe, headquartered in Ludwigshafen, Germany. In this capacity he succeeds Eckart Stein, who has been given new responsibilities within BASF.
Sattler joined BASF in 1985. After several positions in marketing and product management in Great Britain, Mexico and Columbia, he took over sales and marketing at BASF Argentina SA as division manager in 1997. From 2001 he was responsible for the BASF regional business unit Performance Chemicals for Leather NAFTA.
As of October 1 2004, Ron Joseph Levin will succeed Sattler as manager of the BASF regional business unit Performance Chemicals for Leather NAFTA, located in Charlotte, USA. Levin joined BASF Corporation in 1990 as a product manager. After several positions he took over management of Strategic Planning, Functional Polymers North America in 2002.
