Azerbaijan leather industry data

Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee reports that Azerbaijan imported raw hides and skins, and leather and leather products, worth US$1.93 million in 2004, accounting for 0.1% of total Azeri imports during the year. Azeri exports of the same types of commodities last year were worth US$2.58 million, or 0.1% of total exports.

The average number of cattle on farms in Azerbaijan in 2004 was reported as 2.32 million, compared with 2.24 million in 2003 and 2.18 million in 2002.

It was also reported that Azerbaijan produced leather and leather products worth US$4.54 million in 2004, as compared with US$3.33 million in 2003 and US$5.99 million in 2002.
