Shafi Reso-Chem Pakistan have participated for the first time in the 7th Tabriz International Leather Fair (LEATHEX 2005) held from 13-16 July 2005 in Tabriz, Iran's famous industrial city. The ceo Abrar Ahmed, national sales manager Mohammad Faiz and territory sales technician Saeed Akhter Malik represented RESO at the fair. Visitor turnover was reported to be quite high at the exhibition that included tanners from Iran, Türkiye, Ukraine and other central Asian countries.
The visitors took keen interest in the articles Shafi Reso-Chem presented at the fair, specifically lining and shoe upper leather. During the fair, the company met with a number of tanners to discuss the possibility of new partnerships and alliances. Shafi Reso-Chem are the first company from Pakistan to participate in the fair and the company described the response as overwhelming.
'We positively hope this fair will add value to our corporate strategy with respect to availability of our products and services in the region and will result in the mutual benefits of both countries industrial sectors', said a company spokesman.
Iran is an emerging market for leather and leathergoods with over 200 tanneries producing wet-blue and finished leather. The shoe-manufacturing sector is also an important component of the Iranian economy.
Shafi Reso-Chem is the Pakistani representative of Italian chemical manufacturer ALPA SpA.
