Toast to John Basford

At the last Corium Club Reunion, which took place during the APLF in Hong Kong, the toast was proposed by John Basford as the longest serving member present. He reminisced about his first job working at British Chrome Tanning where dog dung was still used in the bating department. They were one of the last tanneries to still carry out the practice. The Corium Club has been in existence since 1920 and brings together past and present students from around the world who attend(ed) the British School of Leather Technologists, formerly known as Leathersellers.
