Cromogenia meet in Hong Kong

At the same time as the APLF, Cromogenia-Units SA held a technical meeting in Hong Kong with a view to showing their novelties in the leather manufacturing field. The meeting was attended by most of their agents and distributors in Asia, in particular a large team of technicians and dealers from continental China, together with Cromogenia's Chinese staff from Shanghai.

Javier Jardí, manager of Cromogenia's leather department, presided over the meeting, in which several technical matters were dealt with by Vicente Benedito, a delegate of Cromogenia's Valencia branch, and Xavier Burucoa, who is in charge of the finishing department.

The meeting was attended by Jorge Medina, marketing and sales manager of Cromogenia-Units SA in Barcelona.

Subjects discussed included a new range of syntans, Series L-100, with two polymers enjoying retanning-fatliquoring properties. One of them is Retanal PR-199, which is particularly suitable for car upholstery leathers (low fogging values); the other is Retanal PR-502, which is extremely soft and has an excellent dyeing yield.

In the finishing field, there is a new pu resin Regel U-204-N, designed for furniture and car upholstery leathers; a further cationic pu resin, Regel U-150-N, for the impregnation of full-grain leathers; and a cationic compound, Compound NA CAT, for use as grounding or prebottoming coats in full-grain leathers.

The meeting ended with a lunch in an atmosphere of cordiality and friendship.
