APLF target Indian footwear sector

The new fair is strategically located in New Delhi, which is not only the nation’s capital but is also at the heart of Northern India where sizable footwear production centres are located. Export figures show that Northern India produces 55% of all Indian leather footwear exports, 50% of non-leather footwear and 60% of all leather garments exported.
fMM&T is endorsed by the Indian Footwear Components Manufacturers Association (IFCOMA) and the Council for Leather Exports (CLE). According to M Garg, IFCOMA national coordinator, more than 50 of the association’s members have already agreed to participate in fMM&T. There will be further exhibitor delegations from Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Italy, Pakistan and Taiwan.
Other exhibitors will include suppliers of leather and materials, components, threads and adhesives, sophisticated shoe making assembly line machinery and CAD/CAM software.
Visitors targeted include manufacturers of footwear, leather/ non-leather garments, handbags, leathergoods and travelware; importers and distributors of leather and synthetic material components and accessories, designers, brand owners and product developers.
