The Belarusian Cabinet of Ministers was scheduled to discuss progress made in modernising Belarus' livestock farms at a meeting on August 16, according to the Interfax news agency. The State Village Revival Programme for 2005-2010 envisages the reconstruction and modernisation of 20 cattle farms, 20 pig farms, 19 poultry farms and complexes, and 192 large dairy farms. The programme will be subject to funding worth US$114 million this year.
