STACKER BERTECH DYNAMIC WBP WITH CUTTING UNIT AND SELECTION CONVEYOR
As many people already know, Bertech is Bergi's branch dedicated to automation.
This article introduces a Bertech stacker, equipped with cutting machine to cut the leathers along the backbone and a conveyor for the leathers' selection, to work in line with a wet blue press.
The stacker is the Dynamic model, a machine of very compact dimensions and very precise in piling the leathers. The WBP (Wet Blue Press) version shown here is particularly suitable to the wet end thanks to some special feature as: the zinc plated steel frame, the epoxy treatment and composite colour. The transport conveyors and the protective sheets are made of stainless steel and all the electric connections are positioned on the upper side of the machine avoid any possible contact with water.
The cutting machine has an automatic sharpening device that avoids the operator to step over the conveyor to manually sharpen the disc-blade, an operation that besides being uncomfortable, can be dangerous for the hands.
In this case the stacker has been completed by a single-belt transport conveyor that works as a selection one. The stacker builds up a stack of leathers while the operator is selecting the leathers on a second pile previously accumulated. When the selection is completed, the operator - by pressing a button - moves forward the conveyor with a new stack of leathers and continue the selection.
This is a very fast and economic sides selection line.
