12 November 2018

Canadian winter clothing manufacturers Canada Goose have purchased outdoor and industrial footwear manufacturer Baffin for £25 million.

Canada Goose has been expanding rapidly in recent years. The company recently went public, opened retail stores outside of Canada, and added knitwear and rainwear to its product line.

Canada Goose opened its third manufacturing facility in Winnipeg in September that it says will create more than 700 new jobs over the next three years to add to the more than 1,000 people already working for the company in the city.

Founded by Sam Tick in 1957, Canada Goose sells its products in more than 38 countries worldwide and has retail stores in North America, Europe, and Asia.
