News - Germany

Leading specialty chemicals company Lanxess has announced that Werner Breuers, LANXESS AG board member and up to now responsible for the segments Performance Polymers and Advanced Intermediates, will leave the company at his own request after his contract ends on May 31, 2015, in order to pursue new challenges.

He will leave the management board with immediate effect but remain in an advisory role to Lanxess for a transitional period.
"We thank Mr. Breuers for his work and wish him all the best for his future," said Rolf Stomberg, Lanxess AG supervisory board chairman.
The supervisory board has also handed over with immediate effect the responsibility for the segments Performance Polymers and Advanced Intermediates to Matthias Zachert, Lanxess AG's chairman of the board of management, on a temporary basis. The company intends to fill the vacated position in the board of management in the next year.
