Ethiopia Reforms in Bid to Become Africa’s Manufacturing Hub

27 November 2018

Ethiopia’s ongoing economic and political structural reform will have a major hand in realising the country's manufacturing goals, according to their Investment Commission.

Investment Commissioner Fitsum Arega has said that Ethiopia has the potential to become Africa's manufacturing star in the sky.

Textile, leather, energy and pharmaceuticals are among the areas that can generate a lot of jobs, he added.

The government is working hard to address the challenges related to the country’s policies and working environments.
