Le Cuir a Paris buoyant

10,649 visitors were registered over four days, an increase of 5.3% compared with February 2007. Visits by international buyers increased markedly. Those coming from Italy were up 22.5%, Great Britain (+17.5%), USA (+16%), Spain (+11%) and Japan (+4.8%). French visitors also increased by 6.9%.
Piero Maccanti, president of the Tuscan Tanners’ Association outlined the importance of the event for Italian companies. He highlighted the pre-selection and opportunities to meet with designers and world famous brands.
Fashion focus
The French Institut of Fashion (IFM) exhibited beautiful prototypes of leather shoes, gloves, clothing and other accessories created by nine students and developed in collaboration with big names in fashion such as Bally, Pollux, and Louis Vuitton.
The 15th edition of Le Cuir a Paris will showcase autumn/winter 2009-10 collections and will run from September 23 - 26 2008, at hall 4, Paris Nord Villepinte.
