Leather, automobiles, and sustainability are on the agenda of the Brazilian Leather Webinar Series

3 November 2020

The automotive sector is the central issue of the next Brazilian Leather Webinar Series – Leather Business and Future Consumer, which will take place online, for free on November 6 (Friday), 2 p.m. (GMT). Stephen Jeske (GST AutoLeather, global supplier of leather components to the automotive industry) and Kim Sena (sustainability manager at JBS Couros) are the guests of this edition who will share their views on leather and sustainability, market trends, and business projections for the sector. The Brazilian Leather Webinar Series is held by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) with the support of the National Wildlife Federation (NWF).

This is the third and last edition of the series of webinars organized to address the most latent issues concerning sustainability, consumer demands, and environmental agenda, as well as land use and deforestation, and a possible overview of society after 2020. The first edition (directed to the fashion industry with panelists from Kering, Vert Shoes, Inspiramais, and Courovale) and the second one (focused on furniture with speakers from Natuzzi, Furf, and Minuano) presented strategies and novelties that may inspire business in the entire leather industry. The next webinar will be no different and promises an in-depth debate on one of the main markets for the tanning sector – the automotive, which has undergone several transformations in recent years.
