LINEAPELLE London to discuss UK leather market and Brexit

11 July 2016

A total of 41 exhibitors will exhibit their new collections at LINEAPELLE London at the Ham Yard Hotel on Tuesday 12 July.

The 2016 edition of LINEAPELLE London will also look at the prospects of the UK leather market in the wake of Britain's decision to leave the EU following the historic referendum on 23 June.

The event will feature the usual fashion seminars in the morning (9.30am) and in the early afternoon (2pm) as well as a workshop (12pm) on sustainability, organized by the Italian Institute of Quality Certification (ICEC).

Professionals working in the leather industry will be able to gain a better insight into the ethical and social aspects of sustainability in the tanning business and the manufacturing and marketing of the finished leather product, with a focus on voluntary certification, the value of labelling and the misleading use of the definition ecoleather.

The workshop on sustainability will be preceded by the seminar “Know Your Leather”, an in-depth technical look at the product characteristics of leather.
