LVMH Unveils Impressive Environmental Milestones at UNESCO Event

On Thursday, December 14, at UNESCO, a significant event unfolded with the presence of notable figures such as Christophe Béchu, the French Minister for Ecological Transition and Cohesion of the Territories, Virginijus Sinkevicius, the European Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans, and Fisheries, as well as Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of LVMH, and Antoine Arnault, Head of Image & Environment at LVMH. This gathering brought together over 500 leaders from LVMH, along with partners and other stakeholders, to unveil the initial outcomes of the LIFE 360 program (LVMH Initiatives For the Environment), launched in 2021 and approaching its 2023 deadline.

The event highlighted the concrete achievements in LVMH's environmental performance across key pillars of the LIFE 360 program, encompassing the circular economy, biodiversity preservation, CO2 emissions reduction, and traceability & transparency. These pivotal aspects were disclosed both during the event and through an accompanying exhibition. Moreover, LVMH presented an unprecedented initiative within its supplier ecosystem, aiming to collaborate and support suppliers in mitigating their carbon footprint, as well as minimizing their impact on water resources and biodiversity.

The occasion provided a platform for all participants to engage in discussions and workshops, fostering a comprehensive dialogue on environmental sustainability and collective efforts within the industry.
