Mulberry chairman on board at Pittards

10 February 2014

Pittards PLC, the renowned leather and luxury goods producer, experienced a rise in shares last Thursday when it appointed chairman and former CEO of Mulberry Group PLC Godfrey Davis as a non-executive director.
A statement said that Davis "brings a wealth of experience in the luxury leather goods sector which should prove highly beneficial to the company's growth strategy in this area."
Pittards supplies leather goods to FootJoy, Hermes, Marks & Spencer and Nike among others and said its underlying trading in 2013 was, for the most part, parallel with market expectations, although the US dollar's decline against sterling affected them in Q4. Pittards' revenue is mostly in dollars but it reports in sterling, and expects to release its full results for 2013 in the week of March 17.
