New president for the Italian Leather Chemists Association

At the first meeting of the Italian Leather Chemists Association's executive council in Santa Croce dell'Arno, Italy, on 12 March, Ernesto Pisoni was elected the new president.

Pisoni is an active member of the last three councils and represents the Piedmont and Lombardy Area. The Steering Committee is complemented by Claudio Toscano as VP, Roberto Lupi as treasurer and Adriano Peruzzi as secretary. Within the council, Gaetano Maffei (Campania), Franca Nuti (Tuscany) and Giancarlo Lovato (Veneto) have been appointed as representatives for local area activities of the association.

The new president has called upon the entire board to engage with renewed passion in the AICC in order to pursue growth through the dissemination of technical and scientific knowledge and establish closer links between the research and tanning industry.

The president also encourages everyone to contribute with vitality to intensify dialogue and coordination among all the sectoral organizations and associations to find together the best solutions to current problems, and to try to ensure a sustainable future for the Italian tanning industry.
