APLF organisers have announced that, for the first time, Hong Kong will be the focus region at the April 2002 edition. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will co-ordinate the focus region activities at the overlapping events running from April 8 (fashion and finished products) with raw materials and manufacturing from April 9-12.
Hong Kong is one of the world’s premier garment manufacturers and exporters. Its design capabilities have gone from strength to strength and many Hong Kong companies now produce their own brands as well as providing creative services for the world’s leading fashion names.
Some of the best of Hong Kong fashion products will be on display in daily fashion shows at APLF 2002 Fashion and Finished Products April Show. The 2002 Hong Kong Footwear Design competition will be inaugurated in APLF 2002 April.
