Italian machinery manufacturers, Bauce, have devised a full hide conveying and stacking machine, which can be fitted to the rear of their sammying machines. The Bauce Stacker is equipped with an area measuring system and a thermostamping device to mark individual hides.
Hides can be automatically stacked onto pallets with the grain up, down or grain to grain depending on the tanners preference. The stacking conveyor, lift and drop are automatically set and controlled from an electronic side panel. Each stacked hide is automatically counted and the galvanised metal structure is supplied with epoxy paint.
The stainless steel control board is equipped with a PLC programmable logic microprocessor. The Bauce Stacker is available in a number of sizes including 1600, 2000, 2200, 2400, 2700, 3000, 3200 and 3400mm.
The Stacker can also be supplied with optional surface and thickness measurement via a bar code or video camera, a pneumatic cutter to side whole hides, reflectors which scour the surface of the hides to detect defects and a single or multi-punch stamping machine.
