Every winter, the Bureau de Style Chaussure Maroquinerie Cuir publishes a trend book for firms in the glove sector. The trend book for Winter 2005/2006 is designed to give impetus to the creative process, predicting trends and fashion moods.

The Bureau have identified four fashion themes for men and women:

Cheeky Dandy: puts past styles to new uses, retaining the most symbolic codes. A chic equestrian look or a cheeky dandy style, but out-of-line and mismatched, using noble materials with allusions to eighteenth century England and Carnaby Street in the sixties.

Joy: handcrafted luxury swinging from a gently baroque couture style with a forties flavour to the sensual poetry of a new baby doll or snow fairy look which exalts soft textures and refined finishes.

Road Movie: rocker dandy, gaucho cowboy or sexy pin-up; this theme combines the imagery of 1950’s America with a splash of the psychedelic wave. A casual style which lavishly mixes nostalgia and glitter, folklore and modern industry.

Self Protection: a land of contrasts, a rebellious look inspired by the great outdoors and the poetry of the street. A theme that ranges between a muffled worker look and an outsized sexy silhouette.
